Matthew McConaughey has announced that he and his wife, Camila Alves, welcomed their third child Friday.

The "Magic Mike" star wrote on his website, "Our son, Livingston Alves McConaughey was born at 7:43am on 12.28.12. He greeted the world at 9lbs. and 21 inches. Bless up and thank you for your well wishes."

The couple, who married in June at their Texas home, also have a 4-year-old son Levi and a daughter who's almost 3, Vida.

McConaughey, 43, picked up two Independent Spirit Awards nominations this year for his work in two 2012 releases, "Magic Mike" and "Killer Joe." The star also nabbed the Best Supporting Actor New York Film Critics Circle award for his work in "Bernie" and "Magic Mike."
