Mike Tyson on Catching Brad Pitt With His Ex Robin Givens
Long before Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt was involved in another love triangle, this time between Mike Tyson and his ex-wife Robin Givens.
Heavyweight boxing champion Tyson is talking about the time he found the Hollywood A-lister with his ex during their acrimonious divorce in the late 1980s.
"I was getting a divorce, but… every day before I would go to my lawyer's office to say 'she's a pig and stealing,' I would go to her house to have sex with her," Tyson told Yahoo! Sports " In Depth with Graham Bensinger" Saturday. "This particular day, someone beat me to the punch. And I guess Brad got there earlier than I did."
"I was mad as hell," Tyson told Bensinger, adding, "You should have saw his face when he saw me."
Tyson married Givens in 1988. Three months later she filed for divorce, alleging spousal abuse, and received a reported $10 million settlement.
Back then, Pitt was not yet a star. Instead, he was doing guest appearances on shows like "21 Jump Street" and "Head of the Class" where he likely met Givens.
Today, the incident is nothing more than a humorous anecdote, which Tyson first revealed this past summer during his one-man show on Broadway. "Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth," directed by Spike Lee, will soon hit the road for a 10-week, 36-city national tour.
"I hope that Brad don't think I'm mad at him," the boxer told Bensinger.
Tyson is now married to third wife Kiki Spicer, who wrote his one-man show.
