Adele fans have reason to celebrate this morning: the singer will perform at the Oscars.

A tweet Wednesday morning from the official Twitter account of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences declares, “Best 4 Words Ever: Adele Performing At #Oscars.”

Less than 10 minutes later, another tweet further confirmed the news: “We’re so excited to have Adele perform Skyfall on this year’s #Oscars, we made a gallery dedicated to Bond Theme Songs.”

Oscar 2013 Ballot

Adele, of course, is an Oscar nominee for co-writing and performing “Skyfall,” the theme song from the latest James Bond movie.  Earlier this month, she won the Golden Globe for best original song and was on hand to accept it in person. It was rumored then that she’d remain in the U.S. through the Oscars, due to her best original song Academy Award nomination.

Oscars Most Nominated

“Skyfall,” co-written by Adele’s longtime collaborator, Paul Epworth, has enjoyed more chart success than any Bond theme song in a decade. If that’s any barometer of Adele’s chances of taking home an Oscar, she’s the favorite to win.

Her Oscar competition is “Before My Time” from “Chasing Ice,” “Everybody Needs a Best Friend” from “Ted,” “Pi’s Lullaby,” from “Life of Pi,” and “Suddenly,” from “Les Miserables.”

Full List of Nominees

The Academy Awards will be presented Sunday, Feb. 24 on ABC.
