It's a boy for celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.

The 34-year-old announced on his website Wednesday that he is a new dad to a baby boy. Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, had not previously revealed that he was expecting a child and did not share any information about the birth or the little guy's name.

"I am ready to announce that earlier this month I was blessed with the birth of my first child, a beautiful and healthy baby boy - with lots of hair on his tiny head!" the openly gay blogger wrote on his website Wednesday.

"I am so humbled to welcome this little man into my life. And I am honored and ready for the challenge of guiding him through his."

While Hilton has had his fair share of celebrity feuds, stars rushed to Twitter to share their congratulations for the new daddy on Twitter.

"Congrats daddy!!! Beyond thrilled for u. Welcome to the club….xo," Denise Richards tweeted.

"Welcome to the club @PerezHilton Sooo happy for u! #babyperez," Jenny McCarthy wrote.

"Congratulations @PerezHilton on your new son. Such exciting news, so happy for you! ? Love Paris," Paris Hilton tweeted.

"Congrats to our man @PerezHilton! Thanks for sharing the great news about your son with all of us - let us know if you need any baby tips!" the Backstreet Boys' official Twitter account tweeted.

Instead of sending gifts, the blogger asked his followers to donate to VH1's Save the Music Foundation and the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network.

PerezHilton.com was launched in 2004 and the new father now has five blogs where he dishes celebrity gossip.
