Kate Winslet on Divorce: 'I Think I Can See More Clearly Now'

Kate Winslet is looking better than ever these days. She credits her divorce and other past experiences for shaping who she is today.

In the new issue of Harper's Bazaar U.K., the 37-year-old Oscar-winning actress opens up about her divorce from her second husband, Sam Mendes, in 2010.

"I've really learnt a great deal about myself, in the last four years in particular," Winslet said, via E! News.

"I think I can see more clearly now - about how the pattern of past experiences has shaped who I am, and the characters I have played - and I'm grateful for that."

But it's not all about the negatives for the actress. Winslet married Ned Rock'nRoll, the nephew of British tycoon Richard Branson, last December, and she said she uses the positives in her life to inspire her.

"I have so much more material to draw on for work - rubble, bricks - and I know I can carry it now," Winslet said. "I'm not going to drop it, and if I do, I'll sift through it. Does that make any sense at all? Probably not."

The issue hits newsstands March 7.
