Weekend "Today" show anchor Jenna Wolfe made a couple big announcements Wednesday. Not only did she reveal that she was expecting her first child, she came out publicly with her partner, NBC News correspondent Stephanie Gosk.

"I'm quite pregnant, actually," Wolfe, 39, said on the show Wednesday. "My girlfriend Stephanie Gosk … and I are expecting a baby girl at the end of August."

In an article titled "We're in Love and Having a Baby," Wolfe detailed to People magazine how she and Gosk, who have been together for three years, began discussing having a child before she was artificially inseminated with an anonymous donor.

"This is the most exciting thing that has ever happened to us," the weekend "Today" anchor told People for the issue hitting newsstands Friday. "But I don't want to bring my daughter into a world where I'm not comfortable telling everyone who I am and who her mother is."

"The beauty is that we live in a time where there's no need for secrecy," Gosk, 40, told the magazine.
