Blake Shelton to Officiate Kelly Clarkson's Wedding
Kelly Clarkson's wedding to Brandon Blackstock was bound to be star-studded, but it's going to be even bigger and better than any country fan could have dreamed: at Sunday's ACM Awards, the former "American Idol" winner confirmed that her friend and fellow Nashville singer Blake Shelton will be officiating the ceremony.
Clarkson, 30, told Entertainment Tonight that Shelton, 36, will also be singing at the reception. A call to Shelton's rep about his status to marry couples wasn't returned.
"The Voice" judge, 36, has always been a big supporter of Clarkson's relationship with Blackstock, his manager (and Reba McEntire's stepson).
"I told Brandon, 'Man, you need to grow up and figure out that you need to marry this girl,'" he told gossip site Hollyscoop shortly after Clarkson announced the engagement in December. "I am going on the record saying. . . whatever you want to do, I'll be that guy."
Now that's a guy who keeps his promises!
