Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Shares Post-Surgery Pic
Former wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recovering nicely following hernia surgery earlier this week.
"Surgery a success!" he tweeted after his doctor repaired three hernial tears. "Superman is on the mend."
Johnson, 40, sustained the injury - a torn abdomen and abductor muscles - a few weeks ago during a wrestling match against John Cena.
"Saw my Dr who had to push my intestines back thru the tear i my abdomen," he wrote on April 21. "Kinda romantic."
The procedure reportedly caused him to miss the Los Angeles premiere of his new film, "Pain & Gain."
"He was pushing it too hard," director Michael Bay told E!. "[He] needs to grow up and stop wrestling 300-pound men!"
Especially since he's got another big project on the horizon: The WWE star has been gearing up for his dream role, Hercules, in the new film "Hercules: The Thracian Wars."
"I feel I was born to play Hercules," he recently said. "I'm very excited."
