After comedian Kevin Hart was arrested on suspicion for DUI on Sunday morning, he took to Twitter to speak out about the incident.

"Drinking & driving is not a game or a laughing matter," he wrote. "People have lost lives because of stupid s- like this!"

A California Highway Patrol Officer pulled over Hart, 32, after his black Mercedes nearly hit a tanker truck on Highway 101 in Los Angeles. The "Laugh at My Pain" star failed a field sobriety test and was booked for misdemeanor DUI. He was released later that day after posting a $5,000 bond.

"This is a wake up call for me," Hart continued on Twitter. "I have to be smarter & last night I wasn't. Everything happens for a reason."
