Actor Matt Damon and wife Luciana Barroso wed in a small ceremony in 2005 at New York's City Hall, but they never had a big wedding. Eight years after their first ceremony, the couple will renew their vows this weekend on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia, according to E! News.

A source told E! News that Damon has rented out the entire Sugar Beach resort on Saint Lucia for their list of star guests.

Damon and Barroso first met in 2003 at a bar in Miami, where the actor was shooting the comedy "Stuck on You."

Damon told Ellen DeGeneres in March 2011 about the fate that brought him and Barroso together.

"We ended up at a bar where my wife was the bartender. I literally saw her across a crowded room and eight years and four kids later, that's my life," he said. "I don't know how else our paths would have crossed if that didn't happen. The moral is that when you're tired, suck it up and go to the bar because you might meet your wife."
