No Children for Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi
Actress Portia de Rossi says she and wife, talk-show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres, have decided not to have children.
"There comes some pressure in your mid-30s and you think, 'Am I going to have kids so I don't miss out on something that other people really seem to love? Or is that I really genuinely want to do this with my whole heart?'" De Rossi said in an interview in the May issue of Out Magazine. " I didn't feel my response was 'yes' to the latter."
She said the decision was mutual for both her and DeGeneres.
"You have to really want to have kids, and neither of us did," De Rossi said. "So it's just going to be me and Ellen and no babies."
She described her relationship with DeGeneres as drama free. The couple have been married for almost five years.
"Married life is blissful, it really is. I've never been happier than I am right now," De Rossi said.
De Rossi is now working on her return as Lindsay Bluth Funke to "Arrested Development" for its fourth season. The show premieres on NetFlix on May 26.
