JoAnna Garcia and Nick Swisher Welcome Baby Girl
JoAnna Garcia and Nick Swisher are parents!
On Tuesday, the "Reba" actress and her husband welcomed their first child, a daughter, Garcia's publicist confirms to ABC News. No other details were available.
The couple announced the pregnancy in November, about two years after they tied the knot in Palm Beach, Fla. A month later, Garcia, 33, and Swisher, 32, moved from New York City, where Swisher played baseball for the Yankees, to Cleveland. The Ohio native now plays right field for the Indians.
"I knew we were coming home in a sense for Nick," Garcia told MLB.com. "And that felt really warm and lovely. And I've never felt so incredibly embraced and taken care of, from the organization to the incredible wives to Nick being embraced by all of his teammates. … It's really been this theme here about family, and it couldn't be more fitting at this special moment in our lives."
As for Swisher, life in clubhouse has already thrust him into protective dad mode.
"Oh, she ain't coming in here, bro!" Swisher told the site.
"He's already gone straight to imagining her dating," Garcia responded. "He's already in a panic."
