After working together on their beloved "Before Sunrise" trilogy over the course of 18 years, Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy say their working relationship is a lot like a marriage, except for one important detail.

"We actually listen to each other," quipped Hawke. "Most married couples don't."

The "Before" saga's latest installment, "Before Midnight," is now playing in U.S. theaters.

In the above clip from their recent interview with Peter Travers on his ABC pop culture show, "Popcorn," the pair reveal how much real-life material they incorporate into their "Before" personas.

"I tell Julie all the great one-liners women have used on me and she tells, 'Here's one a guy said to me once. You should say that to me because that'll stop me in my tracks," said Hawke.
