Would You Be a Celebrity's Personal Assistant?

They are Hollywood's largely uncredited supporting cast: celebrity assistants. It's a closeted world of nonstop drama, where A-list stars too often bark unheard-of demands.

"You don't say no," said Rebecca White, former assistant to Naomi Campbell and other celebrities, in an interview for "20/20." "No is not in your vocabulary."

According to White, other cons include no days off, no overtime and no boundaries.

"It is twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week," White said. "You were their everything: You're their confidante, you're their paid best friend."

What are the pros? White said for her first job, for an actress, she was paid $2,000 per week plus expenses, and lived in her boss' $5 million Soho loft rent-free while the actress was away at college much of the time. With Campbell, highlights included private jets.
