Chris Brown's Probation Revoked By Judge

ABC News' Jim Vojtech reports:

The legal drama surrounding Chris Brown continued Monday when a California judge revoked the singer's probation after reviewing the details of an alleged hit-and-run accident in May.

Brown, 24, appeared "downcast" in court, according to the Associated Press, as Superior Court Judge James Brandlin issued his ruling in related to a May 12 traffic accident in which Brown allegedly rear-ended another vehicle at a red light in California's San Fernando Valley.

Brown did stop after the accident but is accused of not giving the other driver his complete license and insurance information.

"I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n run, I provided the correct info. There were no injuries or damages. C'mon!!," Brown tweeted after his court appearance Monday.

Brown is still on felony probation from his sentence for assaulting Rihanna in 2009.

The judge declined to jail Brown but he could face four years in jail if his probation is not reinstated.

The next hearing in the case is set for Aug. 16.

Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos, declined to comment. A representative for Brown issued a statement to ABC News that they expect the "car accident case will be dismissed and his probation reinstated."

Brown will be back in court before then, however, for a July 23 hearing on the hit-and-run case. Brown was charged last month with misdemeanor hit-and-run and driving without a valid license but has not entered a plea in the case.

Brown first faced probation troubles in February after authorities said he may not have completed all of the community service he was ordered to perform after he beat Rihanna, his then-girlfriend, and noting that Brown continues to have anger issues.

The singer reportedly also was investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for allegedly assaulting R&B singer Frank Ocean on Jan. 27 in a brawl over a parking space. Brown was also involved in a bar brawl with rapper Drake, and threw a chair through a window after a "Good Morning America" interview in which he was asked about beating Rihanna.

"My cross is heavy but God gives me the strength to carry it," Brown tweeted Monday.
