The “Glee” cast and crew came together Thursday in Los Angeles to remember Cory Monteith, who died two weeks ago with drugs and alcohol in his system.
The show’s creator and Monteith’s girlfriend were active in organizing the private memorial at Paramount Studios.
“Today, Ryan Murphy and Lea Michele gathered the cast, crew and producers of ‘Glee,’ along with colleagues from the network and studio, to share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory Monteith,” 20th Century Fox said a statement.
Monteith, 31, who played Finn on Fox’s music-themed show, was found dead July 13 in his Vancouver hotel room.
“We are in shock and mourning this tragic loss,” Monteith’s rep said at the time of his death.
An autopsy revealed the actor died from “mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol.”
The statement from Fox on Thursday’s memorial closed by thanking the public for its continued “outpouring of love and support as we grieve our friend and colleague during this difficult time.”
