Demi Lovato Warns Miley Cyrus on Partying: 'Just Be Careful'
Demi Lovato, 20, knows just what some innocent partying can lead to, having completed rehab in 2011 for alcohol and drug abuse.
So when MTV News asked her about close friend Miley Cyrus' song "We Can't Stop," which features the "Hannah Montana" star getting down and dirty, Lovato had some concerns.
"She knows how I feel about the whole partying thing," Lovato told MTV. "I love her to death and I'm always like, 'Just be careful.'"

The "X Factor" judge met Cyrus on the set of "Hannah Montana" six years ago and the two have been great friends since. Lovato said Cyrus isn't worried, which also puts her worries to rest.
"[Miley's] like, 'Dude, I'm chilling. It's fine.'" Lovato said. "But I care for her so much that I'm so protective. But she's good. She's got a good head on her shoulders."
As for Miley's twerking ability, which sometimes involves her bending over and shaking her hips in a provocative way, Lovato's all for it.

"She's twerking and she looks amazing doing it," Lovato said.
But don't expect Lovato to follow suit on the partying or the twerking. She's also just tired of its name.
"I'm really tired of the word 'twerking,'" she said. "It's like 'swag.' It's like, 'OK, just stop.' Or 'YOLO' - just don't."
