A picture is worth a thousand words or at least one - "Heartbreaker." The only word attached to a cuddly Instagram pic posted Friday that has fueled speculation of a reunion for Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.

The "Beauty & The Beat" singer, 19, had Beliebers up in arms over the weekend, after he uploaded a photo showing the duo both in sunglasses, Bieber sporting a backwards cap and Gomez, 20, cryptically biting a fingernail.

More than 1 million of the Biebs Instagram followers seemed to support the potential reconciliation, "liking" the pic.

The "Come and Get It" beauty, who turns 21 on July 22, and Bieber split in late 2012 after dating for almost two years. It's been an on-and-off again 2013 for the two pop stars, with rumors of a reunion surfacing monthly.

This isn't the first time Bieber has posted a photo of the pair, post breakup, on his Instagram account. In April, he put up a shirtless pic of him hard at work on a MacBook, while sitting on Gomez's lap. He quickly took the pic down.

Or the #Heartbreaker hashtag could just be a plug for his newest single, which carries the same name. Either way, fans of the A-list pop duo will be on the edge of their seats, waiting for the next clue.

Bieber's rep, when asked to confirm the status of the relationship, told ABC News that she doesn't comment on the singer's personal life.
