Simon Cowell on Pregnancy Flap: 'People's Feelings Involved'
All parties involved - Simon Cowell, Lauren and Andrew Silverman - are responding to reports that Cowell and the still-married Lauren Silverman are expecting a baby.
Both Lauren, 36, and Andrew Silverman, 37, released statements Thursday that focus on the well-being of their son Adam while they deal with the media frenzy created from the news of the reported pregnancy.
What is confirmed through photos is Cowell, 53, and the Silvermans were friends in that they enjoyed Yachting trips to exotic locales like St. Barth's and St. Tropez.
"My top priority is protecting my 7-year-old son while working to resolve all outstanding issues with my wife," Andrew Silverman said in his statement.
Lauren Silverman seconded the sentiment.
"I am committed to sorting things out with Andrew as amicably as possible to ensure the well-being of our son. I would hope for some space and privacy in order to work through this," her statement said.

Cowell also broke his silence yesterday at the Television Critics Association press conference, saying he hadn't read the newspapers and the media circus surrounding the supposed pregnancy.
"Am I missing something?" the "X Factor" judge joked with the media after the news was brought up. The music mogul also explained why he can't speak further on the issue.
"I have to respect a lot of people's feelings right now," Cowell said. "There a lot of things I will eventually clear up when the time is right, but I really have to be sensitive because there's a lot of peoples' feelings involved here."
Cowell's rep has not responded to requests for comment and a lawyer for Cowell had no comment.
