Victoria Beckham is the pop star turned fashion designer who is a wife, mother and global style icon.

But beyond the glare of the spotlight, the glamorous former Spice Girl who's known for her pouty photos says she and her family are downright normal.

"Honestly, once the children are in bed I'd rather work or shove on a face pack and pluck my eyebrows," the 39-year-old mother of four told said in an interview with Vogue Australia for its September issue.

Since her equally famous husband, soccer star David Beckham, retired in May, she said it's all been about family. Last week the family was seen galloping at a ranch in Los Angeles.

"We're all so proud of David … Having supported him at clubs all over the world for the past 15 years and seen how he has been an inspiration … we are now just really excited at the prospect of spending more time as a family."

Despite all the family time, Beckham has just launched a second clothing line called "Victoria."
