Bruno Mars to Perform at Super Bowl XLVIII Halftime Show

Singer Bruno Mars will grace the stage during Super Bowl XLVIII's Pepsi halftime show in February, game officials and reps for the singer announced today.

The Grammy Award winner tweeted "WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!!! #PepsiSBHalftime."

The game is scheduled to be played at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014.

The 14-time Grammy Award nominee joins a long line of musical stars who have performed during the Super Bowl halftime show, including Madonna, The Who, Prince, The Rolling Stones and, most recently, Beyonce.

The NFL posted the announcement of Mars' selection in a video that showed clips of the "Locked Out of Heaven" singer in his younger years dressed up as Elvis and scenes from his recent concerts.
