Celeb event planner David Tutera and his estranged husband, Ryan Jurica, are going through a contentious divorce, but one component has been decided: They will raise their twins, Cedric and Cielo, separately.

"One is biologically mine, which is my daughter, Cielo, and one is biologically his, his son," Tutera, 47, said on "The View." "They are half brother and sister, but they aren't full brother and sister, biologically."

The "My Fair Wedding" host and his ex, Ryan Jurica, 35, welcomed the babies in June via a surrogate. And though Tutera is raising Cielo in Los Angeles, while Jurica has moved with Cedric and his other son to Connecticut, the event planner said that the siblings will "absolutely" have a relationship.

"I have always wanted to be a dad. That was really important to me," he said. "And I'v always wanted to have a fairytale life of being in a relationship. I fell in love with Ryan. I still love Ryan and that's a very true fact. And what I've been trying very hard to do right now is come to a place where we can walk away with our separate lives."

It seems the feeling is mutual. In a statement read by "The View"'s Barbara Walters, Jurica said that he wishes Tutera and Cielo "much health, happiness and success. It's my goal and hope that we can work together toward a positive outcome that will result in a new friendship and allow our children to be a part of one another's lives."

"We're not at a resolution right now and I will say that… I will never say anything negative or foul or inappropriate about my ex partner. … The process of the divorce has been quite challenging," Tutera added. "My responsibility right now is to get through a divorce and protect and guide and nurture my daughter. And that's what I'm focusing on."
