Singer Monica and husband Shannon Brown have welcomed a daughter Laiyah.

It's the first child together for the "Don't Take It Personal" singer and the NBA star.

Brown was so excited about his new bundle of joy that he posted a picture on Instagram holding "Daddy's Girl," as he called her, with the caption, "I THANK GOD for her!!! JOY has been restored in my LIFE!!!"

Laiyah Shannon was born at 1:55 p.m. on Tuesday in Atlanta, according to People magazine.

The singer's rep told the magazine that the new baby came into the world and was immediately greeted by her big brothers Rodney, 8, and Romelo, 5, both Monica's sons from a past relationship.

The couple first revealed they were having a baby in May.
