Former "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" star Alfonso Ribeiro and his wife, Angela Unkrich, welcomed their first child together on Sunday in Los Angeles, the actor confirmed via Twitter.

"Alfonso Lincoln Ribeiro Jr. was born today at 10:45 a.m. We are so blessed," he tweeted.

Ribeiro, 42, followed up the announcement of his new son with a thanks to the man who brought his boy into the world.

"We also want to thank our amazing Dr. Jason Rothbart," he said. "He was so great and a calming influence in the room."

This is Ribeiro's second child. He shares custody of his daughter Sienna with ex-wife Robin Stapler.

The "Silver Spoons" actor married Angela Unkrich in October of last year after an engagement of a few months. Ribeiro also appeared on "Dancing With the Stars" in 2007 as a contestant.
