Johnny Depp Goes Blond

Meet the new, improved and blond, Mr. Johnny Depp. The 50-year-old actor, known for experimenting with creative looks, has traded in his dark locks for a lighter hue.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Depp unveiled his new look at a London Film Festival event honoring fellow actor, Christopher Lee on Saturday.

The newly blond hunk presented Lee with the British Film Institute Fellowship, citing his legendary costar as a "wonderful inspiration to him."

"It was certainly a childhood dream come true" to work beside Lee, Depp said. He continued to praise Lee, describing the veteran actor as "a true gentleman," "a national treasure" and a "true artist." The pair previously shared the screen in three Tim-Burton films: "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", "Sleepy Hollow" and "Dark Shadows."

Depp closed his surprise appearance with an affectionate, "I love you."

In an emotional acceptance speech, Lee, 91, expressed equal admiration for the younger actor, admitting Depp "means an enormous amount to me." He lauded the three time Oscar nominee as "a true star" and an actor's and a director's dream to work with.
