Lea Michele has a new (adorable!) reason to smile these days.

"Today I would like to introduce you to Pearl. She's 8 years old and is my new little love.. Welcome Pearl!" Michele wrote on Twitter, along with a photo of her new dog.

It's a nice moment of uplift for the "Glee" actress, 27, whose on and off-screen boyfriend, Cory Monteith, died in July, after he ingested heroin and alcohol.

"For me personally, I've lost two people: Cory and [his character] Finn," she said recently. " We had a beautiful memorial for Cory in the auditorium and some of the cast members sang and people spoke about him. … It only felt right that we would do the same thing for Finn, so I felt it was very therapeutic."

Prior to seeing the tribute episode, which was titled "The Quarterback," and featured songs including "I'll Stand By You" and "Fire & Rain," Michele called it "perfect."

"I really woke up every single day feeling like I was … in some sort of spell or something, that I was lucky enough to have him in my life," she added. "There was no greater man than Cory, so for the time we spent together, I consider myself very lucky."
