Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr Split
Actor Orlando Bloom and model Miranda Kerr have split up after three years of marriage, ABC News confirms.
E! News was the first to break the news.
"In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months," the rep said in a statement to ABC. "After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation."
The couple began dating in 2007 and wed in 2010. They also welcomed their son, Flynn, in 2011.
The statement continued, "Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."
Bloom, 36, recently made his Broadway stage debut in "Romeo and Juliet" alongside Condola Rashad. Kerr, 30, said in the November issue of Cosmopolitan that she really admired his work in this modern rendition of a Shakespearean classic.
"When I saw Orlando on Broadway in 'Romeo and Juliet,' I was blown away," Kerr said in the interview. "For someone to be able to learn all that and hold the energy to do it every day, six days a week; I have so much respect for him."
Bloom and Kerr's last public appearance together was at the play's opening Sept. 19. They were seen getting pretty close at an after-party at the Edison ballroom in New York.
Reps for the couple have not responded to ABC News' requests for comment.
