Pop rocker Pink is known for being feisty, and she lived up to that billing when she used Twitter to take on people who questioned why her 2-year-old daughter was allowed to ride on a motorcycle without a helmet.

The little girl, Willow, was being carried by her father, Pink's husband Carey Hart. Hart, 38, is a motocross racer.

Hart posted photos to his Instagram account Sunday of himself and his daughter on a moving motorcycle.

In one image, Willow is sitting in front of Hart. In another, she's upright with her arms around her father's neck while he uses one hand to support her and has another on the motorcycle's handlebar.

"Been waiting for this day for a very long time," he wrote. "Willz went for her 1st ride on my motorcycle around the pits today. She was pumped the whole time. When we stopped, she gave me a big hug and said it was fun, thank you Papa. That's my girl."

Some people got the fun, but others disapproved.

An Instagram user wrote: "I'm sure it was awesome for both but poppa where's the baby's helmet? Anything can happen at any time, (safety) first."

A Twitter user added: "Maybe he should just take her for a Walk."

Pink set the commenters straight. The 34-year-old "So What" singer, born Alecia Moore, tweeted: "If any of u have more experience on a bike than my husband, then I will listen to your opinions on how he should take my daughter for a ride."

"Pink's reaction, whether you agree with it or not, is very normal," Ericka Souter of the parenting website CafeMom said. "No mom wants to be criticized about the way that they parent."

Pink also wrote to her Twitter followers: "I can't promise I will care, but I will listen none the less."

And in response to Twitter user @MFemur, who wrote " @Pink Honestly.. I wouldn't like the idea of a child so young being on a bike," the singer replied: "Then I don't recommend it for your child."

At one point during the Twitter exchange, the singer tweeted, "This is fun."

Pink delivered her last Tweet on the topic with a hint of sarcasm, writing, "M'kay I'm gonna go now. Gotta figure out what wills is wearing tomorrow for her MANIACAL MOTO MANIA!!!" Gotta pack veggies too! Organic!"
