It seems Texas really is forever.
Over the weekend, "Friday Night Lights" stars Matt Lauria, Gaius Charles, Zach Gilford, Scott Porter and Kevin Rankin, got together for an informal reunion, according to a photo on Instagram.
"#FNL #FridayNightLights reunion at #SundayFunday. #Smash #Street #Saracen #Herc #Luke @gaiuscharles @zachgilford713," wrote Scott Porter, who played Jason Street on the series. (Smash, Street, Saracen, Herc and Luke were the stars' characters' names.)
"#FNL #FridayNightLights #TexasForever #GreatFriends #GreatTimes" added Charles, who also posted the image.
"Friday Night Lights" ended its run in 2011, but could return to the big screen at some point in the near future.
"I would love it to happen. I'm a big supporter of it happening. I don't know if we will see it or not," said Connie Britton, who played coach Eric Taylor's wife, Tami. "I know it was being written and [creator] Peter Berg is really serious about it, so I think if everybody got on board, I don't see why we couldn't have a movie."
In the meantime, the cast will see each other at barbecues.
