The final 12 contestants were announced on Thursday night's edition of " The Voice." The singers were either saved by viewer votes or their coach's intervention. Here's a recap:

Team Blake kicked off the show with a cover of The Edgar Winter Group's "Free Ride," and after the performance, host Carson Daly announced that America had voted to save the team's Austin Jenckes and Cole Vosbury. After that, Blake Shelton saved Ray Bourdreaux, a decision based on his gut, and a feeling he could "have the most success" with the artist. The decision meant Nic Hawk and Shelbie Z were eliminated.
