Sorry ladies, The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran is engaged to his girlfriend of six years Nareesha McCaffrey.

What started out as a surprise birthday party for the singer, secretly became an engagement for his girlfriend instead, according to Hello! magazine.

"I found out Nareesha was planning a surprise party on my birthday with her family so I thought perfect! I'd bought the ring months before I'd been trying to figure out the right time," he told Hello! "I love her, I love every bit of her."

As for how the singer asked his new fiancee, it might be one of the most romantic proposals in quite some time.

"I said to her I wanted a present I would always remember this year by… for you to be my wife," he added.

It was a total surprise. In fact, he didn't even tell the other members of the band.

It was even such a surprise to McCaffrey that she initially said, "No."

"I don't like surprises and he really surprised me, but I was so happy," she said. "I can't wait to start planning the wedding."
