One young girl had a royally awesome Christmas Day, all thanks to Prince William.

Madison Lambe, 12, was visiting Sandringham Estate hoping to catch a glimpse of the royal family walking to church. But instead, she found herself posing for a selfie with Prince William.

Apparently, she was too star-struck to operate the phone, so William did the snapping.

"You can't beat a good selfie on Christmas Day," Madison, who's from Lincolnshire, said Prince William told her.

"He didn't seem bothered that I asked him," she told BBC News. "He was really nice."
