Michael Douglas and his father, Kirk Douglas, were all smiles after dining out for lunch on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
Both father and son looked great for their years.
Michael Douglas, 69, looked rakishly handsome with his silvery hair and goatee and a grey sweater highlighting his trim physique. Meanwhile, his father appeared remarkably spry for 97.
The pair have been close in recent years, though that wasn't always the case when Kirk was at the height of his fame and the younger Douglas was trying to make his mark in Hollywood.
Now, Michael goes out of his way to praise his dad, including most recently at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, where he won for his performance in "Behind the Candelabra."
Michael ended his speech by thanking "a 97-year-old member of SAG back at home who I know is particularly proud of me getting this award."
He added, "But I want to thank all of you out here tonight for helping me get out of his shadow for a little bit."
