It looks like there's a new Fantastic Four.
"Variety and TheWrap are reporting that 20th Century Fox has signed or is close to signing deals with four young actors to star in the studio's reboot of the popular comic book series.
Michael B. Jordan, star of last year's "Fruitvale Station" and "Friday Night Lights," is set for the role of Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch. The 27-year-old actor confirmed the news on Instagram Thursday, posting a picture of the number 4 with the caption, "FLAME ON!!"
"House of Cards" star Kate Mara also confirmed that she will play Jordan's sister, Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman, though it's not clear yet how the film will explain their relationship as siblings.
"Feeling invisible …. in a wonderful way:) #FantasticFour," Mara, 30, tweeted Thursday.
According to TheWrap, Jamie Bell is in serious negotiations to play Ben Grimm, aka The Thing. Bell, 27, is best known for his titular role in "Billy Elliot."
TheWrap is also reporting that Miles Teller is the studio's top choice to play the foursome's leader Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic.
Teller and Jordan already have a history. The 27-year-old actor most recently starred with Jordan in "That Awkward Moment."
The new foursome will inherit the franchise from Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd and Michael Chiklis, who starred in two previous "Fantastic Four" movies. The new film will focus on their characters as young men and women.
