Pop singer Kesha appeared healthy in her first red carpet appearance since finishing two month-stint in rehab to treat an eating disorder.

The "Timber" singer wore a sheer, backless black gown Saturday when she attended the Humane Society of the United States' 60th anniversary gala.

Kesha recently dropped the signature dollar sign from her name and a friend of hers told People magazine that she's also dropped then negative influences that used to surround her before she sought treatment in rehab.

"Since exiting rehab Kesha has been focusing on her inner strength and practicing self-love - really making sure she's continuing to follow the rules and guidelines set for her while in rehab," Patrick Gomez, a reporter for People magazine, told "Good Morning America."

In January, Kesha's mother said her daughter's condition was so bad that doctors said she was lucky to be alive.

Earlier this month, the singer tweeted a photo of herself wearing a T-shirt that read "IMA SURVIVOR." She also tweeted: "Happy to be back! Feeling healthy & working on tons of new music. I can't thank my fans enough for all the love & support u have given me."

Those fans couldn't be happier to see her back. One fan tweeted: "Glad you've completed treatment. Love you can't wait to hear what you have in store next."

Howard Bragman, an image expert and ABC News consultant, said everybody is pulling for Kesha to succeed, adding: "She's also a very powerful role model for a lot of young women who have these kinds of issues."
