Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. don't often go out of their way to be photographed together.

The last time the couple of 12 years appeared on the red carpet together was in July 2007, which is why Gellar's fans got a pleasant surprise yesterday when she posted her very first selfie with her hubby on Twitter.

"The Crazy Ones" actress is fairly new to Twitter, having joined last October, so she's still trying to increase the number of her followers.

"Come on guys get me to 200,000 maybe I have something special in return……" she tweeted earlier Wednesday.

After she exceeded her goal by 2,000, she posted the picture with Prinze Jr., writing: "Now only because this is a special occasion….To all my fans, for your loyalty and support, I thank you. 200,000!!!"

Gellar recently returned to the small screen opposite co-star Robin Williams in the CBS sitcom, but her husband is content to make occasional appearances, preferring to stay home with their two children, Charlotte, 4, and son Rocky, 18 months.

"I can't put in 15 hour days. I would never see my kids again," Prinze Jr., who will reprise his guest role on "Bones," told E! News on Monday. "I'm a full-time dad. I'm a part-time actor. I just can't do it."
