'The Singing Nun' Returns to Italy's 'The Voice'
If "The Voice" viewers in Italy have their way, Sister Cristina Scuccia will become a habit on their TV screens.
Sister Cristina, known as "The Singing Nun," made her return to Italy's version of "The Voice" Wednesday night, performing a high-energy version of "What a Feeling," complete with her fellow sisters dancing in the studio audience.
The 25-year-old nun from Milan first made news when she performed "No One" by Alicia Keys on the show. The YouTube video of her performance went viral after it was posted last month, garnering nearly 50 million views.
Sister Cristina's surprising talent caught the attention of not just Keys, who tweeted her support, but also the possibly one woman in the world who can relate to her, Oscar-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg, who played a singing nun in "Sister Act."
"For when you want a taste of sister act!," Goldberg tweeted, with a link to the video.
