See Zac Efron Skydive with Bear Grylls
Zac Efron does it all in the season premiere of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls." He jumps off a cliff, he skydives, he even goes shirtless.
The "Neighbors" star posted a short video of his very first skydive on his Instagram account. In the video, he's seen giving the sign of the cross before leaping from a plane and, later, giving a thumbs up in midair during the tandem jump.
Efron kicks off British adventurer Grylls' new show next Monday with their one-on-one adventure in New York's Catskills.
Apparently the 26-year-old actor was thrilled to get the call from Grylls.
"My dad and I would watch Bear Grylls' adventure shows growing up constantly. That's something we would do together as a family," Efron said in a behind-the-scenes video from the upcoming first episode. "It inspired a lot of family trips for us."

Efron was also open to whatever Grylls had in mind.
"I know Bear, he's a little bit crazy," Efron said in the video. "I know he's very well-trained. I know that he's not going to put me in any danger I can't handle. But I know he's going to push me to my limit."
Describing himself as a "moderate to advanced outdoorsman," Efron admitted, "I really liked to get pushed out of my comfort zone."
In other videos from the episode, Efron can be seen free falling with Grylls and rappelling down a massive cliff - shirtless.
It was Grylls' idea for them to strip off their shirts. To give them extra incentive to get down to the bottom of the cliff, Grylls suggested they stuff their shirts in their backpacks before tossing both packs in the water below. That way, they'd have a dry shirt to put on later, he said.
"I can't believe how high this is," Efron said before taking the leap with Grylls.
Ben Stiller, Channing Tatum and NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders will join Grylls on future episodes of the show, which premieres July 28.
