Why Chrissy Teigen Was Once Fired From Modeling Job

Chrissy Teigen was once fired from a modeling gig because she was too fat.

The candid supermodel and wife of John Legend told DuJour magazine that when she was much younger, she was booked for the shoot by clothing store Forever 21.

"I showed up on set," she said in a behind-the-scenes video for her July cover shoot. "And they asked me if they could take a photo. And they shot the photo over to my agency who then called me as I'm sitting in the makeup chair. And they say, 'You need to leave right now. You are fat. Come get your measurements taken.'"

Teigen, who had some choice words for the store, has gotten the last laugh: she appeared on the cover of this year's Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.

While the 28-year-old has no problem speaking her mind on most things, she keeps her diet and fitness routines to herself.

"That kind of stuff is very private to me because I do feel like when I do end up sharing stuff like that either it doesn't work for everybody or everyone has their own opinion," she said in the video.

But the model did reveal that she never washes her face before she goes to bed.

"My face never looks better than when I get off a plane," she said in the cover story. "Because I never wash my face before bed, ever, in real life, but on airplanes the second I get in my seat I use my face towels, I'll use a nose strip, I'll do everything."
