When it comes to managing their twin boys, Sherri Saum and her husband, Kamar de los Reyes, take a divide-and-conquer approach.

"We have a factory-like system going on with the feeding and bathing," "The Fosters" actress told People magazine about caring for twin boys, John Rubén and Michael Luís, who were born May 13.

The first-time mom said her husband, especially, has a knack with the twins.

"I'm lucky because Kamar has a very organized way of approaching everything he does, and it comes in handy with babies who need structure. He has a 17-year-old son, Caylen, so it's not his first rodeo," she said about de los Reyes, whom she met when they were both stars on "One Life to Live.

"Sometimes, I'll be pulling my hair out, and he'll just swoop in like some mythical baby whispering superhero - he straps them onto his chest and salsa dances with them - or plays the congas while bouncing them on an exercise ball," Saum said.

Though the boys are fraternal twins, and Michael is bigger than John, Saum said, "there are times when they sort of meld into each other - definitely hard to tell them apart on the baby monitor at night!"

But they are already showing off their own personalities.

"Michael is full of buzzy energy and can barely contain himself," Saum said. "John is my zen Buddha boy. Very observant and mellow. He's always looking at Michael like, 'Bro, could you calm yourself, please?'"

Saum also shared some advice she got from another mother of twins and the executive producer of "The Fosters," Jennifer Lopez.

"Last time I saw her," Saum said, "she just hugged me and said, 'Hang on tight, girl, you're in for the ride of your life.'"
