Look Who's Coming to 'American Horror Story'
"American Horror Story" fans got their first look at Matt Bomer, who joins the fourth season of FX's anthology series.
Bomer doesn't make his debut until next Wednesday's episode of "American Horror Story: Freak Show," which premiered earlier this month. But Out magazine got an exclusive first peek at his character.
The 37-year-old actor strikes an All-American pose with slicked hair and a leather jacket for this season's storyline, which is set in the 1950s and centers on a "troupe of curiosities."
Creator Ryan Murphy, who worked with Bomer on HBOs "The Normal Heart," told The Hollywood Reporter that something "horrible and dastardly" happens in Bomer's episode.
Without giving away any details, Murphy said Bomer has a seven-page scene with Michael Chiklis that the director called "maybe one of the most disturbing things we've ever done and a true horror scene."

Neil Patrick Harris is also joining the freak show. TVLine confirmed that the "How I Met Your Mother" alum will appear at the tail end of the season.
In addition, Harris' real-life husband, David Burtka, is set to guest-star on the anthology hit, making this something of a family affair.
After Harris, a fan of the show, expressed his desire for a guest gig, Murphy has been busy working on something for the multihyphenate star.
"He's game; he had very specific ideas about what he wanted to do and I have specific ideas. We're working on melding those," Murphy told reporters earlier this month. "I'd love to see him and Jessica Lange go at it in a really fun way and Neil seems intrigued by that notion."
