From summer to winter for much of the Mid-Atlantic and Northwest this weekend. A storm system moving through the Plains today is expected to produce tornadoes and hail, then turn into a possible snowstorm for the Hudson Valley and New England by Saturday. It was up to 83 degrees F in Boston just a week ago.

1:39 p.m. ET: ABC's Sheila Marikar reports that for the first time in a long time, Lindsay Lohan doesn't have a court date looming. At a court hearing today, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner took Lohan off probation from her 2007 DUI case.

1:07 p.m. ET: Mega Millions jackpot climbs to record $540 million - largest in WORLD history.

12:18 p.m. ET: ABC's Bazi Kanani writes John Varty, a  controversial wildlife filmmaker, was mauled by a tiger on his private Tiger Canyons reserve. "Nightline" Bill Weir was out with Varty in South Africa a few months before the attack. Varty talked about his unconventional theories for how to save endangered species, like tigers, by moving them from their native Asia to his private reserve.

11:21 a.m. ET: We're getting more information about the man who taken into custody at the Philadelphia International Airport for allegedly trying to board a plane with explosives. Joseph Picklo of Dallas, Pa., told authorities he is a self-employed salesman who "likes to conduct experiments with explosives."
