5:11 p.m. ET: As Tropical Storm Isaac continues its westward path, the GOP is saying the show must go on.

Republican Flordia Gov. Rick Scott said it is "still too early" to know exactly where Tropical Storm Isaac, which is expected to intensify into a hurricane by Friday, will hit Florida and, thus, too early to make evacuation plans or call off the convention.

Nearly three million bees were seized from a beekeeper in Queens, who violated urban beekeeping rules. Beekeepers descended on the Corona , New York home of Yi Gin Chen Wednesday night to collect the hives in the 58-year-old man's driveway and yard.

9:55 a.m. ET: It seems Madonna is holding out an olive branch to Elton John.

According to the Twitter feed of a French newspaper, Nice Matin, Madonna performed her song "Masterpiece" at a show in Nice, France, and dedicated it to Elton, saying he's a "big fan" of hers. Then she added, "I forgive him."
