An electric guitar beloved by the Beatles was sold at auction for $408,000. Custom made for John Lennon, the guitar was considered a kind of “secret weapon” during the band’s recording sessions for the “Magical Mystery” tour. Lennon played it during “Hello, Goodbye” and George Harrison borrowed it for “I Am the Walrus.”
