President George H.W. Bush was treated to a salute … of socks. Today, in honor of his 89 th birthday, Bush asked all of us to don our most exuberant pair of socks. Many answered the call - including babies and even dogs - digging in their sock drawer to find the perfect pair. The staff at the George W. Bush Presidential Library and even House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., participated, proving that birthdays are above politics. Go San Antonio Spurs

On Tuesday evening, a 10-year-old named Sebastian De La Cruz sang the national anthem before game 3 of the NBA Finals. A big San Antonio Spurs fan, the young singer sported a traditional mariachi-style outfit and was given a standing ovation. Critics took issue with his Mexican heritage on social media, so he told Fox station KABB in San Antonio the next morning, "They don't know my life. My dad was in the Navy for a pretty long time. People don't know. They just assume I'm just Mexican. But I'm not from Mexico. I'm from San Antonio, born and raised. Go San Antonio Spurs."
