Palace Renovation

Prince William and Kate Middleton have been renovating their Kensington Palace home before their baby arrives next month. Today, palace officials opened their books and revealed that the price tag for the renovations stands at $1.52 million. That covers removing asbestos, rewiring electrical outlets and replacing the heat and hot water. Call it an early baby gift of sorts from taxpayers in the United Kingdom.

Gandolfini Funeral

Today, family, friends and admirers gathered for actor James Gandolfini's funeral in New York. Several co-stars from HBO's "The Sopranos" were also in attendance alongside New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. David Chase - creator of the legendary series that made Gandolfini a star - spoke at the funeral, reading from a letter he'd written to his late leading man. He read: "Your talent is you can take in the immensity of humankind and the universe and shine it back out to the rest of us like a huge great light."
