State Dinner Finger Food

First lady Michelle Obama hosted a state dinner for kids Tuesday but unlike formal state dinners, this time guests were encouraged to eat with their fingers. She was joined by President Obama who took issue with the change in policy. He told the crowd: "Michelle never said to me I could just pick up something with my fingers at a state dinner. That's just not fair."

Jelly-Mania

Move over Jaws, there is a new menace in the water. In the words of Steven Spielberg: "Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water," rare black jellyfish are spoiling your leisurely swim. The jellyfish are infesting the waters off Southern California - and they're enormous. Black jellies dwarf traditional ones, with tentacles as long as 30 feet. Warm ocean temperatures are driving them closer to shore in search of food. On July 4, some swimmers at Laguna Beach, Calif., returned to the shore with their bodies covered in jelly stings.

World's Largest Building

The world's largest building - the Century Global Center - opened to the public today in Chengdu, China. Its unique attractions include an aquarium, two five-star hotels, conference centers and office space. The building is large enough to three Pentagons inside of it.
