Gabby Giffords Joins Instagram There's a new face on Instagram. Former Arizona Rep. Gabby Giffords joined Instagram today with a photo of herself holding a sign that said: "Hi Instagram."

It's a Girl! It's official. The scientists at the Smithsonian's National Zoo announced today that the giant panda cub born Aug. 23 is female. They also confirmed through a paternity analysis that the zoo's panda Tian Tian is the father. The stillborn panda cub born Aug. 24 was also a female and the two were fraternal twins.

And the Song of the Summer Is… Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" takes the prize as Billboard's song of the summer. The song that no one could get out of their head this year beat No. 2 song "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons and Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" at No. 3. Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Can't Hold Us" rounded out the top five.

Fans consumed 10 percent more calories and 16 percent more saturated fat. When the team won, our self-control returned. We ate 5 percent fewer calories and 9 percent less saturated fat. If your team is a perennial loser, the experts say a food diary could help. Or there's always the option of rooting for another team.
