If you didn’t make it to the altar today, your next chance for a wedding date with consecutive numbers is next year on Dec. 13, 2014. Miss that and you have to wait till 2103.
Malala Is ‘Woman of the Year’
Malala Yousafzai, the teenage girl with the unbreakable spirit, was honored as Glamour Magazine’s “Woman of the Year.” The 16-year-old who stood up to the Taliban stole the spotlight from other big names including Barbara Streisand and Lady Gaga. Kids screamed as she took the stage — “Thank you, Malala! We love you!” — and she blew them a kiss.
Red Carpet Detour for Jennifer Lawrence
At the rainy London premiere of her new movie “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” Jennifer Lawrence saw a young fan in tears behind a barricade. Lawrence interrupted her interview and went to the girl. They spent a couple of minutes together, talking, posing for pictures and hugging.
