Girl Gets Secret Santa Gift F rom Bill Gates A Reddit user, identified only as Rachel, posted a list of gifts she hoped to get from her Reddit Secret Santa - makeup, nail polish, "glittery things" and an iPad. Rachel later explained that a package showed up at her house with a card addressed "To Rachel, From Bill" - Bill Gates, that is. The package contained a stuffed cow, a note saying a donation had been made in her name to Heifer International and a large National Geographic book about world travel. She was delighted.

Diamond Ring Donated to Salvation Army An anonymous person dropped a diamond ring into a Salvation Army kettle in South Florida. A handwritten note saying, "Please continue your good work caring for the needy in God's name," was attached. The ring was valued at $3,500.

Adele Receives Royal Honor Adele received the MBE medal from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace today. The royal honor is given to exemplary British subjects.
